HSB's vision is to educate, inform and sensitize the public and policy makers on bioethical issues by shaping an ethically educated society.
PRESIDENT'S GREETING
" The Hellenic Society of Bioethics was established with the main objective of highlighting the principles of Bioethics given the rapid development of technology in all areas related to the ethical behavior of humans towards Life and at its core the Environment."
Bioethics began as an interdisciplinary field of approach, looking forward to the assistance of the sciences, in order to provide answers through the philosophical prism of applied ethics. Now, bioethical issues are at the intersection of medicine, law, public policy, religion, and science. Each field contributes significant knowledge, resources and methodologies, and efforts to think about or change practices and policies that raise ethical concerns are strong.
Aiming to highlight the goals and fulfill the vision, our Company - the members of the Board of Directors and the Scientific Committee - hope and expect the strengthening of our effort through your active participation.

MISSION OF HSB
* The HSB acts as an observatory of developments in Bioethics and Ethics at regional, national and international level
* To Promote the building of principles and values as a necessity for the ways in which Man will achieve his transition to the Future without losing his autonomy.
* To facilitate the development of an interdisciplinary debate on ethical, bio ethical and regulatory issues, from the development of new technologies in the field of bioethics, to the importance of developing an ethical behavior in areas of everyday life and employment.
It looks forward to the necessity of balancing risks and benefits through the principles of Bioethics in choices and decisions for peace, the defense of human rights, gender equality, social justice, business ethics, research, life sciences, IT ethics and the environment.
GOALS OF H.S.B
* Support the value of free, open and reasoned debate on critical bio-ethical issues
* Encouraging the teaching of the principles of Bioethics in all fields of science
* Application of Bioethics knowledge and skills in personal and social life
* Liaison with regional and global organizations for the advancement of Bioethics
* Spreading the idea of Bioethics and its results through lectures, public awareness programs, conducting interdisciplinary research, organizing seminars, conferences, signing cooperation protocols
